Love it or hate it?

I loved this book! I really enjoyed finding out about Tate and Jared’s childhood friendship as well as the reasons behind Jared’s actions.

Tate is an excellent protagonist and I loved that she had grown a backbone during her time away, but the best thing Tate is that she can race cars!

I can’t wait for Jared’s P.O.V!

Waking the Demon...

Title: Bully (Fall Away #1)

Author: Penelope Douglas

Star rating: 5/5

So what’s it about?

Tatum is a girl who has been totally beaten down by a series of rumours and attacks from her bullies. With a pocket full of escapes and an unhealthy fear of social situations she endures. Then, after spending a year abroad, Tate returns and vows to enjoy herself a little more - and if that means putting her bullies in their place then so be it. The only issue Tate really has is that the guy who has it in for her the most is the one person she should have been able to rely on. This double betrayal forces her real feelings for Jared to remain buried  - that is until neither Tate nor Jared can avoid it any longer...

LURRVED this book!!

I have been left with an unhealthy obsession with this book thanks to a lot of little personal events that seem similar (in my crazy looped head.) and subsequently anything I write here will be tainted with my own bias. That said - This is a well written, sometimes hilarious, sometimes shocking, sometimes sad and a lot sexually tense novel. The interactions between the characters are fraught with pain, secrets and desire. The betrayals suffered by Tate are enough to send you insane with revenge...especially KC's, the monologue made me cry - all three times I read it and the ending although a little too happy for my inner cynic still left me feeling good about the book, the characters and my soppy self.

The author too is immense. Not only has she been releasing deleted scenes for our perusal but she is also in the process of writing a Jared POV! (Hubba-hubba!)

“Then one day, out of the blue, I lost you, too. The hurt returned, and I felt sick when I saw you hating me. My rainstorm was gone, and you became cruel. There was no explanation. You were just gone. And my heart was ripped open. I missed you.
