So what's it about?

Such Sweet Sorrow tells the story of Romeo, his body ravaged by poison, as he tries to find a way to the land of the dead and restore Juliet to life.

He encounters the Prince of Denmark, Hamlet, whose murdered father appeared to him as a ghost and showed him a portal that leads to the land of the dead.

They travel through it together and encounter life-threatening danger.

Love it or hate it?

This was an okay book.

I liked the mythology but the plot didn't grip me and towards the end I grew bored.

I didn't have any particularly strong feelings about the characters as I didn't connect with them.

Unfortunately this book wasn't for me despite being an original retelling.
